Im Jahre 1923 wird vor der japanischen Küste eine seltsame Flotte von Schiffen gesichtet, deren Design sehr stark an das 19. Jahrhundert erinnert. Ohne zu wissen wie ihnen geschieht, wird die Besatzung eines Bootes aus Nagasaki von einer Gruppe Samurai geentert. Als wäre das nicht genug, stellt sich heraus, dass deren Anführer ein futuristisches Gewand trägt und glaubt, es sei das Jahr 2054.
