Der High School Schüler Heisuke ist ein wenig ein Sonderling. Er kümmert sich wenig um andere Leute oder seine Verpflichtungen, ist im Grunde jedoch gutmütig und kocht gerne Desserts. Seine Mitschüler halten ihn für einen phlegmatischen, eher antisozialen Außenseiter mit wenig Taktgefühl, doch hat er zwei Freunde die ihn verstehen und schätzen.

Die für Heisuke in idyllischer Ruhe vergehenden Tage finden jedoch schnell ein Ende, als sein kleiner Cousin Aki Gefallen an ihm findet. Dieser ist sehr verschlossen und schüchtern, weshalb seine Eltern froh sind, dass er sich einem neuen Menschen öffnet. Heisuke macht es wenig aus Zeit mit ihm zu verbringen, doch schon bald merkt er, dass er dafür auch sein eigenes Verhalten ändern muss und nicht wie bisher eher verantwortungslos in den Tag hineinleben kann.
