Die beiden Freundinnen Suzu und Midori haben sich in ihrer Kindheit blendend verstanden, nicht zuletzt weil sie sich sehr ähnlich waren. Doch Midori musste wegziehen und so ist es schon viele Jahre her, seit die beiden sich das letzte Mal gesehen haben. Suzu lebt heute immer noch im gleichen Stadtteil und betreibt einen kleinen Laden für alles mögliche was mechanisch ist. Ganz in der Tradition des Stadtteils, der früher von Elektronik und Mechanik geprägt gewesen war. Aber die Kundschaft bleibt schon lange aus und ein Geschäft nach den anderen muss schließen. In dieser trostlosen Situation freut es Suzu umso mehr, als sie erfährt, dass Midori wieder in den Stadtteil zurückkehrt. Nur muss Suzu leider feststellen, dass Midori sich im Laufe der Zeit ziemlich verändert hat und ausgerechnet ein Maid Cafe eröffnen möchte.
