Tatsura ist ein Junge, dem eigentlich alles gelingt … bis er das erste Mal eine herbe Niederlage einstecken muss. Mit angekratztem Selbstbewusstsein missglückt seitdem alles, was er anfasst. Ausgerechnet ein kleines Mädchen bringt dem selbstverliebten Kendoka (Kendo = japanischer Schwertkampfsport) nahe, dass es Wichtigeres im Leben gibt als Siege. Freunde zum Beispiel und das Gefühl, etwas Gutes getan zu haben. Immer wieder taucht das Mädchen auf und richtet Tatsuras Blick auf Menschen, deren Sorgen viel größer sind als seine. Mit Erfolg: Tatsura beginnt sich für seine Mitmenschen zu interessieren und ihnen zu helfen. Aber wer ist dieses Mädchen? Und welchen Grund hat sie, so in Tatsuras Leben einzugreifen?
