Nemuko ist Studentin und entscheidet sich eines Tages dafür, einen Wahrsager aufzusuchen. Dieser berichtet Nemuko, dass sie in drei Jahren sterben wird. Kurze Zeit später wird der Wahrsager wegen Betruges eingesperrt. In den Nachrichten konnte man noch hören, wie er sagte, dass er kein Geld von denen nahm, bei denen er den Schatten des Todes sah. Daraufhin fällt ihr ein, auch nie für die Weissagung bezahlt zu haben. In den folgenden Tagen werden andere Prophezeiungen des Wahrsagers wahr und Nemuko beginnt sich zu fürchten.
