Seit die zwölfjährige Kokoro mit sieben Jahren ihren Papa, einen talentierten Tüftler und Wissenschaftler, verloren hat, lebt sie mit ihrer Mutter allein. Als Erinnerungsstück ist ihr ein Amulett geblieben, das sie immer um den Hals trägt. Als sie eines Tages im Keller des Hauses nach einem alten Kinderspielzeug sucht, stößt Kokoro auf eine Geheimtür! Mithilfe ihres Amuletts gelingt es ihr, diese zu öffnen, und sie entdeckt dahinter das Labor ihres verstorbenen Vaters – ein Sammelsurium elektronischer Geräte mit überaus nützlichen Funktionen!
