Fujisako Aiko ist ein nettes, wenn auch etwas eigenbrötlerisches Mädchen und besucht die abgelegene Enishida Akademie, ein auf einer Insel gelegenes Internat. Als sie eines Tages die Wälder der Insel durchstreift, sieht sie auf einer Waldlichtung zwei fremdländisch aussehende Mädchen. Eines ist kühl und hübsch, das andere aufgeweckt und freudestrahlend. Aiko findet schnell heraus, dass es sich bei den Mädchen trotz dieser Unterschiede um Schwestern einer königlichen Familie handelt. Durch ihre neue Bekanntschaft tritt Aoi ein in die luxuriöse Welt dieses großen Haushalts vieler Brüder und Schwestern. Sie würde eine ungetrübt glückliche Zeit verbringen, wäre da nicht dieses leichte Gefühl eines gewissen Unrechts und der Umstand, dass sie sich gerade zu den tiefschwarzen Augen der kühlsten der Schwestern hingezogen fühlt.
