In Sky High verfolgt der Detektiv Kanzaki Kohei einen Serienkiller. Nach dem dieser seine Verlobte Mina während ihrer Hochzeit umbringt, wird seine Suche zur Rache. Geblendet von Wut und Trauer sucht er nach dem Täter. Mina - eben verstorben - findet sich im Limbus wieder und trifft die Wächterin Izuko am Tor des Zorns wieder und wird den drei Möglichkeiten für ihr Nachleben konfrontiert. 12 Tage hat sie für ihre Wahl der Möglichkeiten Zeit und deshalb darf sie zurück in die Welt der Lebenden. Sie findet ihren Verlobten im letzten Moment, um seinen Selbstmord zu verhindern. Bei den Ermittlungen entdeckt Kanzaki ein Pentagramm und den rituellen Hintergrund der Morde. Der Killer will den Herr der Finsternis auferstehen lassen, wobei Izuko im Kampf getötet wird und Mina wird die neue Wächterin am Tor des Zorn.
