Emptiness … nothing but silence and darkness – this is all Hakuno Kishinami can find inside his memory after waking up in a strange, virtual world. Without a single memory of the past, he is stuck in a fight for survival whose winner is promised an invaluable prize: the holy grail. The grail, or so it is said, can fulfil the owner’s every wish, and thus, Hakuno, together with a mysterious Servant, has to fight off both friend and fiend. However, Hakuno is lured not only by the grail but the answer to the most important question: “who am I?”.

Leere … nichts als Stille und Dunkelheit – das ist alles, was Hakuno Kishinami in seinem Gedächtnis noch vorfinden kann, als er in einer merkwürdigen, virtuellen Welt zu sich kommt. Ohne eine einzige Erinnerung an die Vergangenheit findet er sich nun in einen Kampf ums nackte Überleben verwickelt, dessen Gewinner ein Preis von unschätzbarem Wert winkt: der Heilige Gral. Der Gral, so heißt es, könne seinem Besitzer jeden Wunsch erfüllen und so muss Hakuno sich gemeinsam mit seinem geheimnisvollen Servant in einem Kampf um Leben und Tod Freund und Feind zugleich erwehren. Doch mehr als nur der Gral lockt Hakuno eine Antwort auf die wichtigste aller Fragen: „Wer bin ich?“

Senza neanche un ricordo del suo passato, ora si ritrova coinvolto in un battaglia per la propria sopravvivenza, al cui vincitore viene offerto un premio di immenso valore: il Santo Graal. Il Graal, così vuole la leggenda, è in grado di esaudire al suo possessore ogni desiderio e così Hakuno deve, insieme al suo misterioso Servant, lottare per la sopravvivenza, sia contro nemici che amici. Più che il Graal a Hakuno interessa trovare risposta alla più importante domanda da porsi: “Chi sono io”?
