Synopsis

“Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202” continues the story from “Space Battleship Yamato 2199” three years after it ended. The Yamato and its crew are on the way home from planet Iskandar to Earth, where a lot has changed within the last three years. The inhabitants of the solar system finally live in peace again, and peace on Earth has been restored with the help of the Cosmo-Reverse-System, thereby making the planet inhabitable again. The war with the Garmillas is over, and to strengthen the military relations between the two powers as well as to ensure peace, a peace treaty has been signed. Next to the reconstruction of the earth a new defense fleet has been constructed, completed by the ultramodern flagship Andromeda. The reconstruction and expansion of the defense-fleet results in the expansion of Earth’s military power, even though Starsha Iskanders explicitly wished for peace …

But a new kind of danger is already lurking in the vastness of space. Goddess Teresa calls for the Yamato, as the freshly reformed galaxy is already attacked and terrorized by the Galantis. They seem to destroy everything on their way to earth …! Now it’s once again up to the crew of the Yamato to protect the galaxy!
