Nachdem er sich im Alter von nur 17 Jahren zum jüngsten Pascha der Geschichte von Türkiye hochgearbeitet hat, glaubt Kriegswaise Mahmut nun endlich in einer Position zu stehen, in der er aktiv in die Geschicke des Reiches eingreifen kann, um den Frieden im Land zu bewahren. Doch nicht alles ist so friedlich wie es scheint. Ein Stein nach dem anderen gerät ins Rollen und der Konflikt mit dem benachbarten Balt-Rhein-Imperium zeichnet sich immer deutlicher ab. Inmitten aller politischen Verworrenheiten versucht Mahmut alles, um weiterhin für seine Ideale einzustehen, verstrickt sich jedoch bald immer mehr in das Netz aus Intrigen und Machtkämpfen rund um die zwei Reiche.
