Als ihre Eltern berufsbedingt nach Übersee zogen blieb Ao in Japan zurück, um hier die Highschool zu besuchen. Eines Tages bekommt sie von ihrem Vater ein Paket geschickt. Darin findet sie Gurou, ein Frame Arms Girl, also eine kleine Roboterpuppe mit Bewusstsein, die dazu gedacht ist, gegen andere ihrer Art zu kämpfen. Die lassen auch nicht lange auf sich warten, denn durch ihren Vater wurde Ao als eine der Testerinnen dieser neuen Produktlinie ausgewählt. Somit hat Ao nun gleich mehrere neue kleine Mitbewohnerinnen, die sich auch noch gerne gegenseitig bekriegen.
