Synopsis

“Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko” is about shrine maidens who have been protecting the world since ancient times by exorcising strange existences, the so-called Aratama, with their swords. Known as Toji, these girls serve as an official unit of the police. Additionally, they have permission from the government to serve as government officials and to carry swords. However, that is not all, because the government has established five schools in the country, especially for these special girls. This way, they can lead a normal life in addition to their duties, but they are also prepared for their actual tasks to protect the people.

Annually in spring, the five schools select their best Toji and send them to a tournament, which the girls train hard for so that they can represent their school accordingly and improve their skills.
