Synopsis

“Last Hope” is set in an alternative world in which a radical energy revolution suddenly occurred in 2031 with the development of the so-called “Quantum Reactor”. As a consequence, a wave of change went through not only the entire infrastructure but also people and machines. However, especially the beings known as the Biological Revolutionary of Accelerated Intelligence (B.R.A.I.) profited from the mysterious energy and soon pushed humanity to the brink of extinction. This revolution was known as the “Xianglong Crisis”.

After seven years of dramatic events, Leon, who experienced the Xianglong Crisis himself, devotes entirely to researching how to fight the B.R.A.I. Since making a pact with a girl named Chloe, he has been living with her apart from society, almost forgetting during their everyday, carefree lives what disaster threatens to befall them at any time.
