Strike the Blood III (2018)

Following the return of Kojou Akatsuki, Yukina, Asagi and their friends from the Japanese mainland to Itogami Island, the third season of the anime adaptation of “Strike the Blood” continues their story. After the hard fight against Azama and his cult, Kojou and Nagisa are finally back home, yet Nagisa is now struggling with the aftermath of her kidnapping and the prevented ritual. And as if that wasn’t enough, she also seems to be developing feelings for her own brother, which she doesn’t want to handle, to begin with! This change is, of course, not lost on Yukina, but before they can deal with Nagisa, the peace on Itogami Island is shattered by several terrorist attacks from a magical terrorist organisation: Tartaros Lapse!

Tartaros Lapse has not only cut Itogami Island off from the outside world by erecting a magical feng shui barrier around the artificial island that paralyses all shipping and air traffic to the island but is now targeting high-ranking government officials. Their objective is to throw Itogami Island into chaos and ultimately destroy it. Where does the resentment against the artificial island and its inhabitants come from? And what is it about December, who seems to be the spitting image of Avrora …?

Die nunmehr dritte Staffel der Anime-Adaption zu »Strike the Blood« setzt die Geschichte um Kojou Akatsuki, Yukina, Asagi und ihre Freunde fort, nachdem diese wieder vom japanischen Festland nach Itogami Island zurückgekehrt sind. Nach dem schweren Kampf gegen Azama und seinen Kult, sind Kojou und Nagisa zwar wieder zu Hause, doch Nagisa hat nun mit den Nachwirkungen ihrer Entführung und des verhinderten Rituals zu kämpfen. Und als wäre das nicht genug, scheint sie auch noch Gefühle für ihren eigenen Bruder zu entwickeln, mit denen sie so gar nicht klarkommen will! Diese Veränderung geht natürlich auch an Yukina nicht vorbei, doch bevor sie sich um Nagisa kümmern können, wird der Frieden auf Itogami Island von mehreren terroristischen Anschlägen einer magischen Terrororganisation erschüttert: Tartaros Lapse!

Tartaros Lapse hat Itogami Island nicht nur von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten, indem sie eine magische Feng-Shui-Barriere um die künstliche Insel errichteten, die jeglichen Schiffs- und Flugverkehr zur Insel lähmt, sondern es nun auch auf hochrangige Regierungsmitglieder abgesehen. Ihr Ziel ist es, Itogami Island ins Chaos zu stürzen und schlussendlich zu zerstören. Woher der Groll gegen die künstliche Insel und ihre Bewohner? Und was hat es mit December auf sich, die Avrora wie aus dem Gesicht geschnitten zu sein scheint …?
