Synopsis

Asirpa discovers special seal-skin garments from the American artefact collector Eddie Dun. These once belonged to her great-aunt, who wore them as wedding clothes, so Asirpa would like to have them back. But because Eddie is asking a rather outrageous price and Saichi is already visibly losing patience, there is another offer instead: Asirpa’s group should hunt down a bear because it has already attacked Eddie’s horses several times. It wouldn’t be the first bear Saichi and Asirpa have to deal with, so they accept the job.

But no sooner are they on the prowl than it becomes clear that it’s not just one bear, but three! They barely find shelter in an abandoned house when the bears attack them. The interim result: one dead before the fight has really begun, and Saichi and his companions are no longer in possession of their weapons. In the house, they also come across a group of men, though they are not exactly allies …
