Promare: Side Galo (2019)

This short special episode recounts some events leading up to the film “Promare” from Galo Thymo’s point of view.

Galo is a hothead through and through: he acts before he thinks and doesn’t hold back with statements, though he is not a brainless hooligan. In addition to a good portion of compassion and a sense of justice, he always comes up with plans that, curiously enough, also work out. Because he shows an interest in the fire brigade as such anyway, Kray Foresight, the hero of the city of Promepolis, recommends that the fire brigade Burning Rescue recruit him. But even during his first tests, the other members begin to have doubts whether Galo is suited for the job. Soon, Galo has his baptism of fire – and his first encounter with the dreaded group Mad Burnish …

Galo ist ein Hitzkopf durch und durch, handelt, bevor er denkt, und hält mit Äußerungen auch gerade nicht hinterm Berg. Er ist aber kein hirnloser Haudrauf: Neben einer gehörigen Portion Mitgefühl und auch Gerechtigkeitssinn kommt er immer wieder auf Pläne, die kurioserweise auch noch funktionieren. Weil er ohnehin Interesse an der Feuerwehr zeigt, empfiehlt Kray Foresight, der Held der Stadt Promepolis, der Feuerwehr-Truppe Burning Rescue, ihn zu rekrutieren. Doch schon bei seinen ersten Tests kommen den anderen Mitgliedern Zweifel, ob Galo denn wirklich für den Posten geeignet ist. Schon bald gibt es für Galo die sprichwörtliche Feuertaufe – und damit auch seine erste Begegnung mit der gefürchteten Gruppe Mad Burnish …
