Digimon Ghost Game (2021)

Glitchy holograms have been appearing in the world for some time, which people regard as paranormal phenomena and urban legends come to life: the Hologram Ghosts. Middle school student Hiro Amanokawa and his friend Nomura come into contact with one of these phenomena when they go to investigate the mystery of the Sewn-lip Man. In the process, Nomura becomes another victim of that being, which turns out to be the Digimon Clockmon. Fortunately, Hiro is able to escape just in time. When the situation seems hopeless, he finds three Digivices and just as many DIM Cards left behind by his missing father. When he activates one of the Digivices, a hologram of his father suddenly appears and gives him insights into a completely new world, unknown to him: the Digital World along with its inhabitants, the Digimon! At the same time as his father, one of these mysterious beings appears and introduces itself with the name Gammamon. He takes up the fight against Clockmon. Can Hiro and Gammamon manage to unravel the mystery surrounding the Digimon suddenly appearing in the real world and fend off their attacks?

Auf der Welt tauchen seit einiger Zeit immer wieder störanfällige Hologramme auf, die von den Menschen als paranormale Phänomene und zum Leben erwachte, urbane Legenden betrachtet werden: die Hologram Ghosts. Der Mittelschüler Hiro Amanokawa und sein Freund Nomura kommen in Kontakt mit einem dieser Phänomene, als sie das Mysterium des Sewn-lip Man untersuchen wollen. Dabei wird Nomura zu einem weiteren Opfer jenes Wesens, das sich als das Digimon Clockmon herausstellt. Hiro kann glücklicherweise gerade noch entkommen. Als die Situation aussichtslos erscheint, findet er drei Digivices und genauso viele DIM-Cards, die sein verschwundener Vater zurückgelassen hat. Als er eines der Digivices aktiviert, taucht plötzlich ein Hologramm seines Vaters auf und gibt ihm Einblicke in eine völlig neue, ihm unbekannte Welt: die Digiwelt mitsamt ihren Bewohnern, den Digimon! Gleichzeitig mit seinem Vater taucht eines dieser geheimnisvollen Wesen auf und stellt sich mit dem Namen Gammamon vor. Dieser nimmt den Kampf gegen Clockmon auf. Können Hiro und Gammamon es schaffen, das Geheimnis der in der realen Welt plötzlich auftauchenden Digimon zu lüften und ihre Angriffe abzuwehren?
