Synopsis

After their victory against Queen Nehelenia and the Dead Moon group, Serena and her friends have enjoyed peace for a few months. Now, a young pop group called Three Lights is stealing the hearts of countless young girls, including Serena and Mina. But for the former, a difficult time is about to begin because her beloved Darien will soon start his studies in the USA, so their time of blissful twosomeness will be over for quite a while.

But things are about to get much worse for poor Serena: On the day of the farewell, Darien presents her with a ring, but he doesn’t get much more than that. Instead, his body literally dissolves in a flash of light until only a golden crystal remains, which is promptly stolen by a mysterious woman in golden armour. Serena is devastated.

And when the apparently hostile Sailor Iron Mouse appears at a concert of the Three Lights and causes terror, it becomes clear that Serena and her companions are facing a dark threat for once – possibly the most dangerous one yet; they hardly seem to be a match for this new opponent. Although a trio of unknown Sailor Guardians saves the day, no one knows whether they are foes or friends because they don’t seem interested in cooperation.
