The Marginal Service (2023)

Brian Nightraider has committed an endless list of crimes. Nevertheless, or precisely because of this, he is one of the police officers with the highest arrest rate. For this reason, his boss also turns a blind eye to his illegal methods. But when Brian’s partner dies during one of his actions, his boss has had enough and fires him.

A short time later, he receives a strange letter that leads him to an organisation called Marginal Service. The organisation hunts down so-called “Borderlanders” who are mysterious, unidentified beings. Brian thinks the whole thing is bullshit and wants to turn down the offer to join the organisation. But then it turns out that the latest case of the Marginal Service might have something to do with the death of Brian’s partner …

Brian Nightraider hat eine unendlich lange Liste an Straftaten begangen. Dennoch, oder gerade deswegen, ist er einer der Polizisten mit der höchsten Verhaftungsrate. Aus diesem Grund drückt sein Chef auch bei seinen illegalen Methoden ein Auge zu. Als bei einer seiner Aktionen jedoch Brians Partner stirbt, hat sein Chef die Schnauze voll und feuert ihn.

Bereits kurze Zeit später erreicht ihn ein seltsamer Brief, der ihn zu einer Organisation namens Marginal Service führt. Die Organisation jagt sogenannte »Randseiter«, bei denen es sich um mysteriöse, nicht identifizierte Wesen handelt. Brian hält das Ganze für Schwachsinn und will das Angebot, der Organisation beizutreten, ablehnen. Doch dann stellt sich heraus, dass der neueste Fall des Marginal Service etwas mit dem Tod von Brians Partners zu tun haben könnte …
