Resident Evil: Death Island (2023)

When the inhabitants of Raccoon City suddenly turned into zombies in 1998, the Umbrella Corporation sought support from a private military company. They sent a unit, but all but two of the members suffered the same fate as the townspeople. All treatment failed, and when the two survivors hesitated to eliminate their comrades, one of them, Dylan, had no choice but to finish off the last comrade in his unit.

In 2015, Leon S. Kennedy, an agent with the Division of Security, is assigned to catch renegade scientist Dr Antonio Taylor for selling explosive information to foreign countries. Even as Leon learns that Dr Taylor has been kidnapped by a group of strangers, he encounters this group – and also the criminal Mario Gomez, who is still alive. Meanwhile, Chris Redfield and his sister Claire, together with Jill Valentine, learn that several people have been infected and killed by a modified variant of the T-virus; even a killer whale was affected. Als sich im Jahre 1998 die Bewohner der Stadt Raccoon City plötzlich in Zombies verwandelten, suchte sich die Umbrella Corporation Unterstützung bei einer privaten Militärfirma. Die entsandte zwar eine Einheit, doch bis auf zwei Mitglieder erlitten alle das gleiche Schicksal wie die Stadteinwohner. Jegliche Behandlung scheiterte, und als die zwei Überlebenden zögerten, ihre Kameraden zu eliminieren, bleibt einem von ihnen, Dylan, keine andere Wahl, als auch noch den letzten Kameraden in seiner Einheit zu erledigen.

Im Jahre 2015 erhält Leon S. Kennedy, Agent der Division of Security, den Auftrag, den abtrünnigen Wissenschaftler Dr. Antonio Taylor zu schnappen, weil der brisante Informationen ans Ausland verkauft hat. Noch während Leon erfährt, dass Dr. Taylor von einer Gruppe Unbekannter entführt wurde, trifft er auf diese Gruppe – und auch den Kriminellen Mario Gomez, der noch immer am Leben ist. Währenddessen erfahren Chris Redfield und seine Schwester Claire zusammen mit Jill Valentine, dass etliche Menschen durch eine modifiziere Variante des T-Virus infiziert und getötet wurden; sogar ein Schwertwal war betroffen. Ihre Ermittlungen führen sie schnurstracks auf Alcatraz Island …
