Synopsis

A hundred years have passed since Syn Shenron was defeated. Of the heroes of that time, only Pan is still alive. Now an old woman, she is still fit enough to train her great-great-grandson Son Goku Jr. He takes his name from his ancestor Son Goku, who Pan is convinced was reborn in her grandson. The two even are spitting images of each other. However, at first glance, that’s the only thing they have in common because Son Goku Jr. turns out to be rather clumsy when it comes to his training. However, worse than his lack of physical strength is his lack of courage. He also constantly tells himself that he lacks said quality. This becomes apparent at his school, Satan City Primary School, when he is once again bullied by Puck and his rowdy friends.

When Pan is upset that her grandson does not even dare to stand up to the bullies, she suffers a sudden feeling of faintness and has to be admitted to Satan City Hospital. Son Goku Jr. promises her to train even harder and become stronger so that she will no longer have to worry about him. However, his weakened grandmother tells him what he should strive for is gaining not strength but courage.

At home, Son Goku Jr. is reminded of the legendary Dragonballs. His grandmother once told him that they grant one’s most fervent wishes. Thus, Son Goku Jr. sets out to find the Dragonballs and asks Shenron to heal his grandmother. His journey takes him to Mount Paozu – where Son Goku grew up …
