Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc (2023)

It has been a while since the middle school tournament in Japan, in which Tsubasa’s Nankatsu and Hyuga’s Toho schools emerged as the first double winners. For the forthcoming international youth tournament, Japan is putting together a new national team, which will first gain international experience in test matches in Germany – including against Wakabayashi’s Hamburg – and then represent Japan at the upcoming Junior World Championship in France.

Tsubasa, however, will not be able to make the trip for the time being since an injury is still keeping him off the pitch. Will he be able to recover quickly enough to take part in the tournament after all and lead his team to victory as a playmaker?

Es ist bereits einige Zeit seit dem Mittelschulturnier in Japan vergangen, in dem Tsubasas Nankatsu- und Hyugas Toho-Schulen als erste Doppelsieger hervorgegangen sind. Für das kommende internationale Jugendturnier stellt Japan eine neue Nationalmannschaft zusammen, die zunächst in Testspielen in Deutschland – unter anderem gegen Wakabayashis Hamburg – internationale Erfahrung sammeln und anschließend Japan bei der kommenden Junioren-WM in Frankreich vertreten soll.

Tsubasa jedoch kann die Reise zunächst nicht mit antreten – eine Verletzung hält ihn nach wie vor davon ab, auf dem Rasen zu stehen. Wird er schnell genug genesen können, um doch noch am Turnier teilzunehmen und seine Mannschaft als Spielmacher zum Sieg zu führen?
