Synopsis

Nana Futami is a young, aspiring shojo manga artist who has always loved drawing and dreams of publishing her first manga, “Subaru e”, soon. Thanks to the energetic support of her popular older editor, Kaede Satou, and her assistant, Mizuki Hazama, nothing should stand in her way. However, the stress is giving her stomach pains, and she has to postpone the deadline for the first chapter.

After all, it’s like an occupational hazard, and she is plagued by imaginative daydreams in which she imagines, among other things, how a publishing lady might have an affair in the office or how her assistant might be pursuing supposed side jobs. She also gains weight from late-night snacks and often suddenly falls into a panic. Will her manga still be a success? At least one thing seems certain – between tight deadlines, creeping chaos and idiosyncratic friends, her workplace is gradually becoming a turbulent yet wonderful place full of laughter and tears.
