Description

A brilliant, extremely eccentric, and slightly crazy scientist toils away his days in his lab, creating robots to carry out different tasks. A robot to grant three wishes, a robot to help you write your diary, a robot that intentionally misbehaves in order to keep its master from becoming bored… the robots are each built for a very specific purpose, and can’t really do much of anything else. Luckily for mankind, however, these robots are much more useful than they appear to be at first glance… most of the time, anyway.

Basierend auf den Kurzgeschichten des berühmten Science-Fiction Autors Hoshi Shin’ichi, der bereits über 1000 Kurzgeschichten verfasst hat. Jede Episode ist in etwa 2 Minuten lang, und Seiichi Yamamoto liefert die Musik zu diesem Anime. „Kimagure Robot“ wurde von Yahoo! gesponsert und dann auch kostenlos auf Yahoo! Japan veröffentlicht. Wenn die Serie Anklang findet, dann plant sie eine 100, vielleicht auch 200-teilige Serie, basierend auf der Resonanz, die dieser Anime bringt. Nach den 10 ersten Episoden werden alle weiteren Episoden nicht nur von Studio 4°C produziert, sondern von vielen Künstlern aus der ganzen Welt, so dass die Serie als eine Art Künstlerportal dient, in dem viele verschiedene Stilrichtungen und Techniken zu sehen sein werden, so wie in der Sci-Fi Version des Nihon Mukashibanashi.
