Hare + Guu (2001)

Hale lives with his mother, Weda, in a peaceful village in the jungle. He is content, except for the fact that he has to do his lazy mother’s household chores. But one day, Guu moves in with them. From now on, Hale’s life changes abruptly.

Guu not only has two different faces, a sweet, nice one and her normal, outlandish one but also superhuman abilities – and a penchant for swallowing things alive. Her stomach is a world of its own, inhabited not only by Tomoyo Mamou and Seiichi Tachibana, whom she swallowed long ago, but also by a thousand-footed cat. From now on, Hale has to look after Guu, who keeps getting him into trouble, and they have to survive the craziest adventures.

Hale lebt zusammen mit seiner Mutter Weda in einem friedlichen Dorf im Dschungel. Er ist zufrieden, bis auf die Tatsache, dass er seiner faulen Mutter die Hausarbeit abnehmen muss. Doch eines Tages zieht Guu bei ihnen ein. Von nun an ändert sich sein Leben schlagartig.

Guu hat nämlich nicht nur zwei verschiedene Gesichter – ein süßes, nettes und ein normales, absonderliches –, sondern auch übermenschliche Fähigkeiten und eine Vorliebe dafür, Dinge bei lebendigen Leib zu verschlucken. Ihr Magen ist eine eigene Welt, in der nicht nur Tomoyo Mamou und Seiichi Tachibana leben, welche sie vor langer Zeit verschluckt hat, sondern auch eine tausendfüßige Katze. Hare muss von nun an auf Guu aufpassen, die ihn immer wieder in Schwierigkeiten bringt und sie müssen die verrücktesten Abenteuer überstehen.
