Synopsis

Yuuno, a young archaeologist from a magical world, has had an accident with his ship and scattered the 21 “Jewel Seeds” all over the earth. To protect people from the powerful artefacts, he immediately tries to collect the out-of-control stones. In a fight against one of the Jewel Seed monsters, however, Yuuno is badly injured and retreats into the animal form of a ferret to recover his strength and heal his wounds.

Unsuspecting, ordinary third-grader Nanoha Takamachi helps the poor ferret and, in return, receives from him magical powers and the wand Raising Heart, which appears purely by willpower whenever she needs it. From that day on, she does her best to collect the Jewel Seeds from another world with her animal companion and protect the people. However, her family and friends are not allowed to know about her struggles as a Magical Girl, and besides, she is not the only one who is after the stones …
