Description

Papuwa-kun is an unusual boy who lives on a little-known southern island, has superhuman powers and can even breathe underwater. Having washed up on the beach of his new home of talking animals a long time ago with his dog cat Chappy, the owl Kamui took him in and raised him. Since then, he has lived a peaceful life surrounded by beautiful nature, but when Shintaro, pursued by gangsters, arrives on the island, the peace is over. Chaos has moved in with him, and the remote place quickly becomes the scene of numerous adventurous activities.

Papuwa ist ein mehr als ungewöhnlicher Junge, denn er lebt auf einer kaum bekannten südlichen Insel, hat übermenschliche Kräfte und kann sogar unter Wasser atmen. Nachdem er vor langer Zeit zusammen mit seiner Hundekatze Chappy an den Strand seiner neuen, von sprechenden Tieren bevölkerten Heimat gespült wurde, hat ihn die Eule Kamui bei sich aufgenommen und großgezogen. Seither führt er ein friedliches Leben umgeben von einer wunderschönen Natur. Doch als Shintarou, der von Gangstern verfolgt wird, auf der Insel eintrifft, ist es mit der Ruhe vorbei. Mit ihm ist auch das Chaos eingezogen und der abgelegene Ort wird kurzerhand zum Schauplatz zahlreicher abenteuerlicher Handlungen.
