Taiyou no Yuusha Fighbird (1991)

The android Fighbird and his team have followed the evil giant robot Draias to Earth. Draias, who feeds on the suffering of other life forms, wants to make Earth his base and seize control of the universe. He is supported by his loyal subordinates Zol and Shura and the evil scientist Dr Jango. In order to thwart their sinister plans, Fighbird disguises himself as a human assistant to Professor Amano, an eccentric inventor and head of the Amano Peace Laboratory, who is striving for world peace with his machines. Professor Amano has also long been the arch-rival of Dr Jango, and while the two of them fight out their own conflict, Fighbird, who is now called Yuutarou Katori, first has to get used to the unusual life as a human on Earth.

Der Android Fighbird und sein Team sind dem bösartigen Riesenroboter Draias, der sich am Leid anderer Lebensformen nährt, zur Erde gefolgt, um seine finsteren Pläne zu durchkreuzen. Zusammen mit seinen loyalen Untergebenen Zol und Shura sowie dem bösen Wissenschaftler Dr. Jango möchte Draias nämlich die Erde zu seinem Stützpunkt machen und die Herrschaft über das Universum an sich reißen. Fighbird tarnt sich als menschlicher Assistent von Professor Amano, einem exzentrischen Erfinder und Leiter des Amano Friedenslabors, der mit seinen Maschinen den Weltfrieden anstrebt. Professor Amano ist außerdem schon lange der Erzrivale von Dr. Jango, der Draias unterstützt, und während die beiden ihren eigenen Konflikt austragen, muss Fighbird, der nun Yuutarou Katori genannt wird, sich erst einmal an das ungewöhnliche Leben als Mensch auf der Erde anpassen.
