Golden Boy (1995)

Kintaro is the hero of the Japanese animated series “Golden Boy”. After graduating, he goes out into the world and gets by with odd jobs. Whether as a messenger in a computer shop, a waiter in a noodle restaurant, a swimming instructor or a driver in a cartoon studio, success always eludes Kintaro. Complications and quarrels, however, are attracted by Kintaro as if he were a magnet attracting staples – especially when it comes to the opposite sex. So, Kintaro’s efforts, both professionally and amorously, usually end in disaster. But this does not diminish his Sturm und Drang in any way – on the contrary!
