Synopsis

Japan, late Edo period. Earth was annexed by an alien race called Amanto, which is technologically far ahead of 21st century humanity. As a means of ensuring peace, Japan’s samurai were disarmed. One of them, Sakata Gintoki, now makes his money as a casual worker and meets all sorts of interesting people.
