Description

At the beginning of the Second World War, a little girl named Chitose, also called “Chiko”, lives in North Korea. Chiko has to watch her wealthy family from Japan become more and more impoverished over time. After the war ends, she and her family have to flee the country head over heels because of the hatred of the North Koreans against the Japanese occupiers.
Zu Beginn des Zweiten Weltkrieges lebt ein kleines Mädchen namens Chitose, auch »Chiko« genannt, in Nordkorea. Chiko muss miterleben, wie ihre wohlhabende, aus Japan stammende Familie mit der Zeit immer mehr verarmt. Nachdem der Krieg zu Ende ist, müssen sie und ihre Familie aufgrund des Hasses der Nord-Koreaner gegen die japanischen Besatzer Hals über Kopf aus dem Land fliehen.
