Kaleido Star: Legend of Phoenix - Layla Hamilton Story (2005)

Sora Naegino wants to devise a new production entitled “Legend of the Phoenix”. Layla Hamilton has returned to Broadway and is also trying to rework a performance of her previous portrayal of the Phoenix. Both artists realise that they have to reinvent their performance to portray the Phoenix in their style.

Two weeks before the premiere, Layla suddenly disappears, and Sora, together with May and Ken, travels to New York to find her. Layla, meanwhile, travels across the country on a bicycle. She meets other travellers and performs on her bike to raise money for the rest of the trip. For Layla, this trip becomes a trip down memory lane, and she is pushed to her limits. Will she be able to leap onto the stage again?

Sora Naegino möchte eine Neuinszenierung mit dem Titel »Die Legende des Phönix« ausarbeiten. Layla Hamilton ist an den Broadway zurückgekehrt und versucht dort ebenfalls eine Aufführung ihrer früheren Phönixdarstellung zu überarbeiten. Beiden Artistinnen ist klar, dass sie ihre Performance neu erfinden müssen, um auf ihre eigene Art den Phönix darstellen zu können.

Zwei Wochen vor der Uraufführung verschwindet Layla auf einmal und Sora fährt zusammen mit May und Ken nach New York, um sie zu finden. Layla reist derweil mit einem Fahrrad übers Land. Sie trifft auf andere Reisende und tritt mit ihrem Fahrrad auf, um Geld für die Weitereise zu sammeln. Für Layla wird dieser Ausflug ein Trip in die Vergangenheit und sie stößt an ihre Grenzen. Wird ihr der erneute Sprung auf die Bühne gelingen?
