In the year 2031, a powerful dagger-shaped artefact called the “Book of Death” appears at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and causes strange mutations in sea creatures. The newly formed creatures are called Hadeans, and their rapid multiplication poses a threat to the human population.

The N.I.D.F. (Neo International Defence Force) is founded to research and protect against the Hadeans. It hopes to be able to prevent the invasion from the sea with the help of the Book of Death. But before their scientists can find it, huge swarms of countless flies gather in the airspace around Tokyo. From them, gigantic, ugly monsters form. When all efforts to defend the city fail, the young pilot Shuu Aiba becomes the last hope in the fight for humanity’s survival.

Im Jahr 2031 taucht ein mächtiges, dolchförmiges Artefakt namens »Buch des Todes« auf dem Grund des Pazifiks auf und verursacht seltsame Mutationen bei den Meeresbewohnern. Die neu entstandenen Wesen werden Hadeans genannt und stellen durch ihre rasante Vermehrung eine Bedrohung für die menschliche Bevölkerung dar.

Zur Erforschung und zum Schutz vor den Hadeans wird die N.I.D.F. (Neo International Defence Force) ins Leben gerufen. Sie hofft, mithilfe des Buch des Todes, die Invasion aus dem Meer verhindern zu können. Doch bevor ihre Wissenschaftler es finden können, versammeln sich im Luftraum um Tokio riesige Schwärme aus unzähligen Fliegen. Aus ihnen formen sich gigantische, hässliche Ungetüme. Als alle Bemühungen, die Stadt zu verteidigen, scheitern, wird der junge Pilot Shuu Aiba zur letzten Hoffnung im Kampf um das Überleben der Menschheit.
