BASToF Syndrome (2001)

The year is 2097, and instead of just sitting in front of a PC with a mouse and keyboard, people are now playing so-called cyber games, which allow players to really interact with their virtual environment in the form of robots. But somewhere, a mistake must have occurred so that, all at once, the virtual and the real world are connected with each other. One of the things that happens is that the damage that players do in the cyber world also affects the real environment. Will it be possible to find the causes of the connection before the whole world is doomed?

Wir schreiben das Jahr 2097. Statt nur mit Maus und Tastatur vor dem PC zu sitzen spielen die Menschen nun sogenannte Cybergames, welche dem Spieler ermöglichen in Gestalt von Robotern wirklich mit ihrer virtuellen Umwelt zu interagieren. Aber irgendwo muss ein Fehler aufgetreten sein, sodass auf einmal die virtuelle und die reale Welt mit einander verbunden sind. So kommt es u.a. dazu, dass der Schaden, den die Spieler in der Cyberwelt anrichten, sich auch auf die reale Umwelt auswirkt. Wird es gelingen die Ursachen der Verbindung ausfindig zu machen, bevor die ganze Welt dem Untergang geweiht ist?
