Description

A young girl, named Jang Geum, has a big dream: She wants to become a head cook in the palace. However, so far she only worked as a waitress, without any problems, because of her remarkable endurance and friendly behaviour towards other people. Nevertheless, Jang soon notices the harsh reality: Intrigues and corruption seem to be usual and common methods to accoomplish a purpose at the palace.

Jang Geumiui Kkum ist eine japanisch-koreanische Koproduktion. Die Geschichte dreht sich um ein junges Mädchen namens Jang Geum, welches den großen Traum hat, Chefköchin im Palast zu werden. Bislang jedoch arbeitet sie nur als Serviererin in eben jenem, was dank ihrem Durchhaltevermögen und ihrer freundlichen Art zu ihren Mitmenschen für sie kein Hindernis ist. Doch schon bald merkt sie die raue Realität, als sich ihr die ersten Intrigen und Verschwörungen in den Weg stellen.
