Information

Synopsis

A little bear named Yamataro is taken away from his dying mother and raised by humans. He ends up as an animal attraction in front of a small vegetable stall, which he does not like. The innocent bear cub is exceedingly sad and laments his situation until, one day, he befriends a passing locomotive named Shi-roku, who gives him advice and encouragement. The two eventually become best friends, and Yamataro even learns to whistle from Shi-roku. What else does the future hold for the bear?
