Synopsis

“Darkside Blues” is set in a not-too-distant future in which a huge corporation has usurped world domination: Persona Corporation. Only economically unusable stretches of land like the Himalayas form small gaps in the corporation’s dense network. However, this also includes the former entertainment district of Tokyo, where anarchy reigns. This is the so-called Darkside. Mai is the leader of a gang in the Darkside. When they save the life of a resistance fighter against Persona, they themselves become the target of the corporation. During the story, a mysterious man who calls himself Darkside keeps appearing. Held captive by Persona for years, he also fights them, but in his own unique way. Yet, in addition to strong parapsychic powers, he also harbours a secret.
