Mitsuhiko findet in einem Modemagazin das Foto eines Jungstars, der starke Ähnlichkeit mit Ai Haibara hat. Durch den darauffolgenden Anruf von Conan Edogawa und seiner Anweisung, Ai unter keinen Umständen zum Haus des Professors gehen zu lassen, gehen er und Genta der Vergangenheit des Jungstars auf den Grund.
