Ohayou! Spank (1981)

Fourteen-year-old Anna moves with her little dog named Papi to her uncle’s place by the sea for a while, as her mother has emigrated to Paris for two years because of work. Anna’s father once sailed out to sea from the local marina and has since disappeared. The girl is convinced that her father survived the storm at the time and will return at some point.

But unfortunately her little dog is hit by a car and dies. Anna is sad and lonely. That is, until she adopts the stray Spank, whose master had the same fate as Anna’s father. And Spank has also been waiting for him at the harbour ever since. Anna attends the new school after the summer holidays and quickly makes friends there. Her first crush is on the sporty Andreas, the brother of Spank’s ex-master.

Die vierzehnjährige Anna zieht mit ihrem kleinen Hund namens »Hundchen« für eine Weile zu ihrem Onkel ans Meer, da ihre Mutter beruflich für zwei Jahre nach Paris ausgewandert ist. Annas Vater segelte einst von dem lokalen Yachthafen aufs Meer hinaus und ist seitdem verschwunden. Das Mädchen ist der Überzeugung, dass ihr Vater den damaligen Sturm überlebte und irgendwann zurückkommen wird.

Doch leider wird ihr kleiner Hund angefahren und stirbt. Anna ist traurig und einsam – bis sie den Streuner Kurt adoptiert, dessen Herrchen das gleiche Schicksal hatte wie Annas Vater. Und auch Kurt wartet seither am Hafen auf ihn. Anna besucht nach den Sommerferien die neue Schule und findet dort schnell Anschluss. Erste Schwärmereien erlebt sie mit dem sportlichen Andreas, dem Bruder von Kurts Ex-Herrchen.
