Synopsis

The ordinary life of 17-year-old high school student Tenchi Masaki is disrupted when, one day, he frees a mysterious girl from a cave to discover more about her ancestors. Ryoko is a space pirate who was imprisoned there some 700 years ago because she was thought to be a demon. After initial difficulties and an attack by Ryoko, who is angry at having been imprisoned for centuries, she decides to take shelter with him.

A few coincidences later, other ladies also decide to stay with Tenchi: there is the Jurai princess Sasami and her older sister Ayeka, for one, and the quirky galactic policewoman Mihoshi Kuramitsu, as well as the kind of wacky mastermind Washu Hakubi, for another. With his five galactic roommates, one thing is certain: his life is now anything but ordinary!
