Pinocchio yori Piccolino no Bouken (1976)

The old woodcarver Geppetto carves the doll Pinocchio from a particularly beautiful piece of wood, which becomes sentient and can speak. On the one hand, Geppetto is happy to finally have someone he can consider his son, but on the other hand, he always has to clean up the messes that Pinocchio keeps making. The little doll is still quite naive and often means well but gradually learns the essential things in life. The duck Gina becomes Pinocchio’s constant companion, who hatched in the second episode from an egg that Pinocchio has been about to eat. Pinocchio promises to become a good boy and to go to school but is so fascinated by a puppet theatre that he joins it instead. After a short time, he comes to his senses to return to Geppetto, thus beginning a long adventurous journey that includes many detours.

Der alte Holzschnitzer Geppetto schnitzt aus einem besonders schönen Stück Holz die Puppe Pinocchio, die ein Eigenleben entwickelt und sprechen kann. Geppetto ist einerseits froh, endlich so etwas wie einen Sohn zu haben, andererseits muss er immer wieder das Chaos beseitigen, das Pinocchio angerichtet hat. Das Püppchen ist noch ziemlich naiv und meint es oft nur gut, lernt aber allmählich die wesentlichen Dinge des Lebens. Pinocchios ständige Begleiterin wird die Ente Gina, die aus einem Ei schlüpft, das Pinocchio gerade verspeisen wollte. Pinocchio verspricht, ein braver Junge zu werden und zur Schule zu gehen, ist dann aber von einem Marionettentheater so sehr fasziniert, dass er sich stattdessen diesem anschließt. Nach kurzer Zeit besinnt er sich darauf, zu Geppetto zurückzukehren, womit eine lange abenteuerliche Reise beginnt, die viele Umwege beinhaltet …

El viejo escultor Geppetto esculpe el muñeco Pinocho a partir de una pieza de madera especialmente bella, que desarrolla una vida propia y puede hablar. Por un lado, Geppetto se alegra de tener por fin algo parecido a un hijo, pero por otro lado tiene que seguir limpiando el desorden que ha hecho Pinocho. El muñequín es todavía bastante ingenuo y a menudo sólo tiene buenas intenciones, pero poco a poco aprende las cosas esenciales de la vida. La compañera constante de Pinocho es en el pato Gina, que nace de un huevo que Pinocho estaba a punto de comer en el segundo episodio. Pinocho promete ser un buen chico e ir a la escuela, pero se queda tan fascinado por un espectáculo de marionetas que se une a él. Al poco tiempo, entra en razón para volver con Geppetto, con lo que comienza un largo viaje de aventuras que incluye muchos desvíos.
