Description

“Chokin no Susume” is one of the earliest anime, created by Seitarou Kitayama in 1917. It is now considered a lost film. The movie was commissioned by the Japanese Ministry of Communications. According to reports at the time, the movie compared a industrious worker who regularly puts aside some money to a lazy person who spends all their money. Of course, the former gets to enjoy a more comfortable later life. The movie “Chiri mo Tsumoreba Yama to Naru” also treated the topic of savings in early times.

»Chokin no Susume« ist einer der frühesten Anime und wurde 1917 von Seitarou Kitayama geschaffen. Heute gilt er als verschollener Film. Der Film wurde vom japanischen Ministerium für Verkehr und Postwesen in Auftrag gegeben. Aus Zeitungsberichten lässt sich entnehmen, dass im Film ein fleißiger Arbeiter, der regelmäßig etwas Geld beiseitelegt, einem Faulpelz gegenübergestellt wird, der keinerlei Geld spart. Natürlich genießt ersterer dann einen komfortableren Lebensabend. Im Film »Chiri mo Tsumoreba Yama to Naru« wurde das Thema Ersparnisse ebenfalls früh behandelt.
