Synopsis
The planets of East and West were once connected by the Amanohashidate, forming a thriving shared civilisation. However, this is now a thing of the past. After the destruction of the magnificent structure that stretched high above the sky, the two worlds diverged. The return of a technology known as “Sacred Treasures” could revolutionise the world order, although no one knows about it except for one person – a girl named Jeanne Kaguya d’Arc. While her homeland, the Western Star, was united under the tyrannical leadership of King Arthur after many years of war, she was prophesied to one day become the saviour of the world.
Plagued by voices that only she can hear, she travels with the ingenious inventor Leonardo da Vinci to the Eastern Star, where Nobunaga – also known as “the Fool” – strives for the power to change his world, which is caught in the constant competition of many heroes for supremacy. Quickly convinced that Nobunaga is indeed the legendary “King of Redemption”, Jeanne swears allegiance to the Oda clan. Meanwhile, King Arthur, whom Jeanne considers the “King of Destruction”, sends his ruthless general Gaius Julius Caesar and his army of fighting machines to conquer Nobunaga’s planet and seize the Holy Grail. With the help of Himiko, the young queen of Yamato, Nobunaga and his clan must unite to end the horror and revive the lost culture.
