Nanami continues her task as the human earth deity of the Mikage shrine and is slowly getting used to her new life. She puts a lot of effort into the talismans and has gained a new strong supporter in the form of the guardian spirit, Mizuki. Even her connection to Tomoe, for whom she has more and more personal feelings, has improved – when he is not angry with her again for sleeping too long.

One day, the friendly wind god Otohiko arrives at Nanami’s shrine to inform her that the annual meeting of the gods in Izumo will soon take place. However, as Nanami is not yet recognised as a deity, she has yet to pass a test to prove herself to the other participants. The test is to raise a beautiful shikigami. However, the magical egg she receives from Otohiko for this purpose feeds on the energy of its owner. Will she manage to summon a powerful shikigami?

Nanami führt ihre Aufgabe als menschliche Erdgottheit des Mikage-Schreins fort und gewöhnt sich so langsam an ihr neues Leben. Sie gibt sich viel Mühe mit den Talismanen und hat mit dem Schutzgeist Mizuki auch einen neuen starken Unterstützer an sich gebunden. Sogar ihr Draht zu Tomoe, für den sie immer mehr persönliche Gefühle hegt, hat sich verbessert – wenn er nicht gerade wieder sauer auf sie ist, weil sie zu lange geschlafen hat.

Eines Tages trifft der befreundete Windgott Otohiko bei Nanamis Schrein ein, um sie darüber zu informieren, dass das jährliche Treffen der Götter in Izumo bald stattfinden wird. Da Nanami als Gottheit jedoch noch nicht anerkannt wird, muss sie erst noch einen Test bestehen, um sich vor den anderen Teilnehmern zu beweisen. Die Prüfung besteht darin, einen schönen Shikigami großzuziehen. Das magische Ei, das sie dafür von Otohiko erhält, ernährt sich jedoch von der Energie seines Besitzers. Wird sie es schaffen, einen mächtigen Shikigami zu beschwören?
