Die Diclonii sind Mutanten, die schreckliche telekinetische Kräfte besitzen. Auf Anordnung der Regierung werden sie in Labors eingesperrt und untersucht. Aber Lucy, eine der gefährlichsten Diclonii, gelingt die Flucht. Dabei vernichtet sie jeden, der sich ihr in den Weg stellt. Während des Ausbruchs wird sie von einer Kugel getroffen und verliert ihr Gedächtnis. Zwei Teenager, die nichts von ihrer blutigen Vergangenheit ahnen, nehmen Lucy bei sich auf. Sie nennen sie Nyu, denn das ist das einzige Wort, das sie sagen kann. Aber als eine Spezialeinheit versucht, sie ausfindig zumachen, wird die Bestie in ihr wach, und es kommt zum Blutbad.
