Shouko ist Pilotin und stattet Ryo und Kaori mit ihrer Cessna einen unfreiwilligen Besuch ab. Sie rammt deren Wohnung. Aufgrund des Vorfalls verliert sie ihre Fluglizenz, was für Shouko mehr als ein Schock ist. Falls es ein Fehler ihrerseits gewesen sein sollte, würde sie sich vehement über ihre Dummheit aufregen. Für sie gibt es nichts Wichtigeres als mit ihrem Flugzeug durch die Lüfte zu schweben. Shouko vermutet ihre Maschine wurde manipuliert, weil sie plötzlich in Turbulenzen geriet. Ohne ihr Wissen wurde sie als Drogenkurier missbraucht und sollte nun mit ihrem Flugzeug tödlich verunglücken.
