Jan Puu ist die Künstliche Intelligenz des Raumschiffs, mit dem Hitoshi auf die Erde gekommen ist. Sie lebt mit Hazumu zusammen unter einem Dach und sie schlafen auch meist zusammen in einem Bett. Jan Puu hat stets gute Laune und ist immer begierig darauf Neues zu erfahren, überhaupt ist ihr Charakter mehr der eines Kindes, obwohl sie rein äußerlich das gleiche Alter hat wie Hazumu und die anderen.

Sie hat auch eine etwas ungewöhnliche Art Hazumu anzusprechen, so nennt Jan Puu sie »Onee-nii-sama« was etwa soviel wie »Großer Schwester-Bruder« heißt.
