Verlagsassistentin Sonoko befindet sich in einer Notlage: ihr Chef verlangt die Fertigstellung einer brandneuen Manga-Anthologie binnen 30 Tagen. Nachdem sie schon etliche Mangaka abgeklappert und nur Absagen geerntet hat, wendet sie sich an ihre letzte Hoffnung Jun Kitano. Sollte das Projekt misslingen, drohen ihr ernste persönliche Konsequenzen: ihr Chef würde sie dann zu seiner Sex-Sklavin machen! Oder wird sie doch nur gefeuert? Sonoko weiß es offenbar selbst nicht mehr so genau, die Deadline zumindest entspricht der Realität. Aufgrund ihrer geringen Erfahrung in der Branche kann sie den Zeitaufwand nicht abschätzen und vertraut sich daher ganz Jun an, der ihr sein Ehrenwort gegeben hat. Dennoch schiebt sie jedesmal, wenn sie sich nach den Fortschritten erkundigt, wieder ein wenig Panik, lässt sich aber genauso schnell wieder beruhigen. Von Juns und Miyukis besonderer Arbeitsmethode weiß sie im übrigen zunächst nichts, für die Einhaltung des Termins ist sie letztlich aber sogar bereit, selbst tatkräftig mitzuhelfen.
