Als Top-Pilot der Strategic Military Services (S.M.S.) führt Major Ozma Lee das Skull-Geschwader an, dem unter anderem Michael Blanc, Luca Angelloni und Alto Saotome angehören. Er ist ein Fan der Rockgruppe »Fire Bomber« und benennt die taktischen Flugmanöver seines Geschwaders nach deren Songs (es handelt sich um eine fiktive Band, die in Macross 7 vorkommt).

Ozma ist der Bruder von Ranka Lee und hat ihr gegenüber einen sehr starken Beschützerinstinkt, mit dem er es bisweilen übertreibt. Darin zeigt sich aber auch seine Entschlossenheit und sein Durchsetzungsvermögen, wenn es ihm mit einer Sache ernst ist.
